Wow was this a failed thing.

Well going to try getting back into this due to being out of work and generally bored. Rant a day for a week ( I Bet I don't get past a day)

So the Topic I have picked today!

Animal Testing!

Being involved in a few discussions over this and I was amazed at the myths and monomers that people have about animal testing and the funny thing about this was. They were mostly... idiots.

Hang on hang on... sorry. I didn't mean that... I wouldn't insult idiots like that. I have rarely spoken to such vapid wastes of oxygen in which existed on this planet to the point I wanted to smash my own head in, in a divided by zero face palm and devour the world in the black hole I created. Sorry idiots didn't mean to lump you in on this.

Why? Lets discuss but first. Animal testing is NOT Animal cruelty both are different matters.

And that is also the first point. Groups that dislike such things. Namely ALF and others proactive domestic terrorists do not see this difference. You perform a test on an animal, you breed an animal, you sell a type of animal you are a target.

Most of the world has laws, ethics etc about treatment of animals in laboratory settings. But these groups care not for this.

Is it right to do animal testing? Are we as humans entitled to test on animals? To be honest that is not a question I can answer or will try to answer I will just merely state the beneficial sides to animal testing, and a few points to why it is necessary and a misnomer here and there.

Why do we do it?
There are a number of reasons, Speed, diversity, risk, morality.

In science anything that is proven has to be proven over a large sample size. So you can test the same thing (Round figure here) 1,000 times. So if a substance has a 95% mortality 950 of test subjects died. Ergo it is not safe to proceed.

Rats are great for this. More later, but their short life's and faster metabolism lets us get results faster. In one generation. Again to put simple numbers on things (Not accurate) 2+ years vs 30+ years.

So by this example we see, this test was a disaster. But it was found out in 2+ years rather than 30 plus so it was faster. The large numbers and survivors show indicators to what caused its high lethality and possible changes to the substance to be made to make it safe. Not a single human died to prove this. No one loses sleep for the animals that died due to testing a substance that they believed was not fatal.

Rather horrific. Now, replace rats with humans. Same test. Same numbers. 950 people dead because of this error. Lawsuits, trauma psychosocial disorders etc all caused from this. The mistake could be worth billions in payouts.

But to the likes who just blanket such tests. This is what they want, or no more research into anything that could be beneficial to humans. So they are genocidal, or don't want us to progress.

Supporters of this view so often tend to be middle class youths. Never wanted for anything and love the cuddly animals. I have yet to read the headline "ALF Frees Fruit Flies used to Test Genetics" Why is it only cuddly animals that get saved?

Moreover another argument used is (Quoting someone) 98% of diseases humans get rats don't and other animals. I actually looked into it. And found the results quite interesting. By people far smarter than myself. So many factors are found that shows that rats actually suffer from a large percentage of the diseases (All forms). Genetic disorders etc etc. So where did this 98% figure come from?

The very people PETA, ALF and other extremist supports and nay Sayers of Animal testing. Anyone who knows me. Knows I hate lies. And lies with an agenda I despise.

This blatant lie that any moron with a computer can disprove with a simple google search made just to get those well to do middle class do gooders on their side and get their money makes my blood boil. Not only are they stupid and air headed enough to fucking believe it, but too lazy to question it and get enraged at the WRONG fucking people.

And when they are educated on this. They don't turn all this ire and hate on the people who used them. Their support, their money to wage this campaign of terror on them.

And a quick note: I am not a vegetarian I eat meat, However I see a day when all meat we eat is grown in a lab. I look forward to this day. Learn about necessary evil and you will get by alright.
